All that glitters is not gold – wedding rings

Walking down the aisle is a fantasy come true; every single aspect must be on point. However, the solemn exchange of wedding vows and their symbols – rings, takes the most pivotal role, why? Well, not only does the couple exhaust their heartfelt desires but they also express them in a precious metal and gemstone engraved with a genuine statement. Past records of those who have gone down the marital path reveals two common reactions; “Wow” and “Oh…no”  To avoid being a victim of  the ring cooties brides are often encouraged to communicate with their fiancés and extensively elaborate on the splendor of their ideal ring. Wearing a ring that goes against your style is a cardinal sin that will only prove to your mother and girl friends that Harry was not the perfect man after all.

Some like it…plain and simple
Every unique and well contoured finger demands a ring of similar style. If glitter and glam sounds like a betrayal of your beliefs then go for simple yet classy rings that are smooth without any added sparkle. The most fitting simple wedding band is the gold model. Nowadays gold is no longer the typical bright yellow protégé but a more subtle Siamese has been unveiled; white. The competition for the top spot is at its peak with both varieties of gold being regarded as competent alternatives. However if the mention of gold doesn’t send a pulsating shiver down your spine then maybe other metals will ignite your passion.

Non conventional rings have exploded into the wedding market and these most boast of platinum – hard-wearing and probably costs the most, tungsten – black or silver, and sterling silver - a cheaper yet gleaming alternative. The ultimate decision can be based on the different qualities that each metal possesses and your allergy tolerance levels. However plain rings can have simple yet tasteful decorations like tri-band coloring that incorporates other metals and the designs vary according to the desired look – even Celtic designs that are native to Ireland are available.

Others are more…adventurous
Diamonds are said to be a girl’s best friend but not all pockets are deep enough to splurge on some timeless rocks ergo the wide range of other stones. Diamond is usually recommended by most jewelers not because it rakes in the dollar but because it is a tough and yet exquisite delight. The abrasion resistance of other stones is less than that of diamond but their unique beauty is unmatched. The only barrier that will keep a bride-to-be focused on a single ring is her ideal color and stone. Ever heard of red diamonds? Well if you are marrying a billionaire then opt for the most expensive – and rare, diamond on the planet. For everybody else sapphires, rubies and opal are acceptable replacements.

Some lavish designs that upset the calm pace of one’s heartbeat include diamond encrusted or embedded beauties that often accompany a huge carat stone. The stunning ensemble varies according to the wants and likes of every bride. Most brides shy from being counted in the numbers, being a part of a mediocre faction is not very favorable – especially if you have always been a free spirit. Thus custom designing a wedding ring may take away the surprise of a ring but at least you are satisfied with each and every contour.

Apart from being a sweet gesture, engraving a warm or funny message on a wedding ring heightens the intrigue and goes beyond the normal personalization level. When the plump, juicy grapes sour into a bitter-sweet wine, the mellow words etched on the ring will stand unflustered.

However, buying a wedding ring or band for the future Mrs. – or Mr, can be quite tedious task that is filled with tears of joy and baldness – the result of clumps of hair being tugged at when faced with a compelling decision. But having some background information on the subject can help lighten the load. The clarity of diamonds is most commonly compromised by flaws or air bubbles within it, this affects the price of the diamond thus not every diamond is crystal clear. Some more information regarding rarities and pitfalls to look out for are published online, sparing a few minutes to scroll through them will help detect the fraudster and prevent your fiancé from investing in a ring that gives you the cooties.
